1942 Cards(5) come back for victory over the 1923 Yankees(12) 8 games to 7

Down 4 games to 0 and down 7 games to 6, the Cardinals of 1942 come back to beat Babe Ruth's 1923 Yankees.  LEd by Stan Musial and Mort Cooper, The Cards would not go down but kept battling back.  Five of the first 7 games were one run games, it was an incredible series.

The 1909 Cubs pitching was just too much for the 1914 Braves.  In mostly low scoring games, the Cubs beat the Braves 8 games to 5.  Braves did have them tied 4 games to 4 but Cubs were just too strong.  The 1906 Cubs advanced as well, so we may see a showdown in a few rounds...

The 31 A's (2) over power the 26 Cardinals 8 games to 2.  Lots of offensive fire power by the A's, including 13 RBIs over 2 games from series MVP Mickey cochrane.  Dib Williams won 3 game MVPs including the first two.

1906 Cubs(2) overpower the 1918 RedSox(15) as expected

As predicted, the 1906 Cubs were way too much to handle for the 1918 RedSox.  Their pitching was way too much.  In one stretch from games 5 through 8, the Cubs gave up 1 ER, which included 3 shutouts.  Their offense came alive too in the final few games once they went to Fenway.  These Cubs will be a force to deal with.
