68 Tigers (8) beat the 49 Yankees (9) 8 games to 4. Norm Cash was money in extra innings!

After taking a 2 games to 0 lead, the Yankees fell apart and ended up lsoing the series 8 games to 4.  Norm Cash was the hero of games 6 and 7 with the game winning RBIs in extra innings.  McClain pitched 2 masterpieces also.
